मां स्कंदमाता स्वरूप:
श्री दुर्गा का पंचम रूप श्री स्कंदमाता हैं। श्री स्कंद (कुमार कार्तिकेय) की माता होने के कारण इन्हें स्कंदमाता कहा जाता है। सिह के आसन पर विराजमान तथा कमल के पुष्प से सुशोभित दो हाथो वाली यशस्विनी देवी स्कन्दमाता शुभदायिनी है। माँ स्कंदमाता सूर्यमंडल की अधिष्ठात्री देवी हैं । चार भुजाओं से सुशोभित माता के दाहिनी तरफ की नीचे वाली भुजा, जो ऊपर की ओर उठी हुई है, उसमें कमल पुष्प है। बाईं तरफ की ऊपर वाली भुजा में वरमुद्रा में तथा नीचे वाली भुजा जो ऊपर की ओर उठी है उसमें भी कमल पुष्प लिए हुई हैं। इनका वर्ण पूर्णतः शुभ है। ये कमल के आसन पर विराजमान रहती हैं। इसी कारण इन्हें पद्मासना देवी भी कहा जाता है। सिंह भी इनका वाहन है
मां स्कंदमाता पूजा विधि :
पूजा के लिए कुश अथवा कम्बल के पवित्र आसन पर बैठकर पूजा प्रक्रिया को उसी प्रकार से शुरू करना चाहिए जैसे आपने अब तक केचार दिनों में किया है फिर इस मंत्र से देवी की प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए “सिंहासनगता नित्यं पद्माश्रितकरद्वया. शुभदास्तु सदा देवी स्कन्दमाता यशस्विनी अब पंचोपचार विधि से देवी स्कन्दमाता की पूजा कीजिए। स्कंदमाता को भोग स्वरूप केला अर्पित करना चाहिए। मां को पीली वस्तुएं अति प्रिय होती हैं, इसलिए केसर डालकर खीर बनाएं और उसका भी भोग लगा सकते हैं।
मां स्कंदमाता कथा:
पहाड़ों पर रहकर सांसारिक जीवों में नवचेतना का निर्माण करने वालीं स्कंदमाता। नवरात्रि में पांचवें दिन इस देवी की पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है। कहते हैं कि इनकी कृपा से मूढ़ भी ज्ञानी हो जाता है। स्कंद कुमार कार्तिकेय की माता के कारण इन्हें स्कंदमाता नाम से अभिहित किया गया है। इनके विग्रह में भगवान स्कंद बालरूप में इनकी गोद में विराजित हैं। इस देवी की चार भुजाएं हैं। ये दाईं तरफ की ऊपर वाली भुजा से स्कंद को गोद में पकड़े हुए हैं। नीचे वाली भुजा में कमल का पुष्प है। बाईं तरफ ऊपर वाली भुजा में वरदमुद्रा में हैं और नीचे वाली भुजा में कमल पुष्प है। इनका वर्ण एकदम शुभ्र है। ये कमल के आसन पर विराजमान रहती हैं। इसीलिए इन्हें पद्मासना भी कहा जाता है। सिंह इनका वाहन है। यह देवी विद्वानों और सेवकों को पैदा करने वाली शक्ति है। यानी चेतना का निर्माण करने वालीं। कहते हैं कालिदास द्वारा रचित रघुवंशम महाकाव्य और मेघदूत रचनाएं स्कंदमाता की कृपा से ही संभव हुईं।
मां स्कंदमाता मंत्र
सिंहासनगता नित्यं पद्याञ्चितकरद्वया।
शुभदास्तु सदा देवी स्कन्दमाता यशस्विनी॥
ध्यान मंत्र:
देवी सर्वभूतेषु मां स्कंदमाता रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नम:।।
इनकी आराधना से विशुद्ध चक्र के जाग्रत होने वाली सिद्धियां स्वतः प्राप्त हो जाती हैं। इनकी आराधना से मनुष्य सुख-शांति की प्राप्ति करता है।इनकी उपासना करने से भक्तों को अलौकिक तेजोमयी प्रकाश की प्राप्ति होती है। यह अलौकिक प्रभामंडल में प्रतिक्षण योगक्षेम का निर्वहन करती है। एकाग्रभाव से मन को पवित्र करके माँ की स्तुति करने से दुःखों से मुक्ति पाकर मोक्ष का मार्ग सुलभ होता है। और माँ की प्रेम भाव से आराधना करने पर भक्तों को हर प्रकार के सुख-शांति की प्राप्ति होती है। इस घोर भवसागर के सभी दुःखों से मुक्ति पाकर मोक्ष का मार्ग दिखलाने वाली ही एक ही ऐसी माता है जो अपने भक्त को सभी पापों से मुक्त कर क्षमा करके मोक्ष का द्वार दिखती है।

Mother Skandmata Swaroop:
The fifth form of Shri Durga is Shri Skandmata. Being the mother of Sri Skanda (Kumar Kartikeya), she is called Skandmata. Sitting on the seat of a lion and adorned with lotus flowers, Yashaswini Devi with two hands, Skandmata is auspicious. Mother Skandmata is the presiding deity of the solar system. Adorned with four arms, the lower arm on the right side of the mother, which is raised upwards, has a lotus flower. In the upper arm on the left side, there are lotus flowers in the pose and in the lower arm which is raised upwards. His character is completely auspicious. She sits on the lotus seat. That is why she is also called Padmasana Devi. Lion is also their vehicle
Maa Skandmata Puja Method:
For worship, the worship process should be started by sitting on the holy seat of Kush or blanket in the same way as you have done in the four days so far, then you should pray to the Goddess with this mantra “Singhasanagata Nityam Padmashritkardvaya. Shubhdastu Sad Devi Skandmata Yashaswini Now worship Goddess Skandmata with Panchopchar method. Banana should be offered to Skandmata as an offering. Yellow things are very dear to the mother, so make kheer by adding saffron and you can also enjoy it.
Maa Skandmata Story:
Skandmata, who created the new consciousness in the worldly beings living on the mountains. This goddess is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. It is said that even a fool becomes wise by his grace. She is named as Skandamata because of the mother of Skanda Kumar Kartikeya. In his deity, Lord Skanda is seated in his lap in the form of a child. This goddess has four arms. He is holding Skanda in his lap with the upper arm on the right side. There is a lotus flower in the lower arm. On the left side, in the upper arm, there is a lotus flower in the upper arm and in the lower arm. His character is pure. She sits on the lotus seat. That is why it is also called Padmasana. The lion is their vehicle. This goddess is the power to produce scholars and servants. That is, the creator of consciousness. It is said that the Raghuvansham epic and Meghdoot compositions composed by Kalidas became possible only by the grace of Skandmata.

After getting rid of all the sorrows of this terrifying ocean, there is only one mother who shows the way to salvation, who frees her devotee from all sins and shows the door to salvation by forgiving her.
