एक बार की बात है एक आदमी था। उसके तीन मित्र थें। उन चारों में बहुत गहरी मित्रता थी। एक दिन वह आदमी बहुत बीमार पड़ गया । उसने गांव के कई वैद्यों से अपना उपचार कराया । लेकिन कोई भी उसकी बीमारी का पता नहीं लगा पाया । अंत में सभी वैद्यों ने यही कहा कि हम इसे नहीं बचा पाएंगे । ऐसा कहकर सभी वैद्य अपने घर चले गए ।जब उस आदमी को ऐसा लगा कि अब उसका अंतिम समय आ चुका है तो उसने अपने तीनों मित्रों को अपने पास बुलाया और अपने पहले मित्र से पूछा कि तुम मुझसे कितना प्यार करते हो। तो उसने कहा मैं तुमसे सबसे अधिक प्यार करता हूं । तो आदमी ने कहा कि क्या तुम मेरा साथ मौत के बाद भी दोगे? मित्र ने अपने कदम पीछे कर लिए और कहा कि मैं तुम्हारा साथ सिर्फ इस जन्म तक ही दे सकता हूं । आदमी ने यही सवाल अपने दूसरे मित्र से किया कि क्या तुम मेरा साथ मृत्यु के बाद भी दोगे? तो दूसरे मित्र ने कहा कि मैं तुम्हारे मरने पर तुम्हारा अंतिम संस्कार अच्छे तरीके से करूंगा। पर मैं तुम्हें ये वादा नहीं कर सकता कि मैं तुम्हारा साथ मौत के बाद भी दूंगा । फिर आदमी ने अपने तीसरे मित्र से पूछा कि क्या तुम मेरा साथ मृत्यु के बाद भी दोगे । तो तीसरे मित्र ने कहा जरूर मैंने तुम्हारा साथ जिंदगी भर दिया है और मृत्यु के बाद भी दूंगा । आदमी खुश हो जाता है । दोस्तों यही हमारी जिंदगी है हमारी जिंदगी में भी हमारे तीन मित्र हैं पैसा, परिवार और कर्म । हमारा पहला मित्र यानि कि पैसा वह हमारे साथ तब तक है जब तक हम इस दुनिया में हैं । हमारी मृत्यु के बाद पैसा कोई मायने नहीं रखता । हमारा दूसरा मित्र है परिवार जो कि हमारा साथ जिंदगी भर निभाते हैं और हमारे मरने के बाद हमारा अंतिम संस्कार करके हमें मुक्ति दिलाते हैं । और उसके बाद हमारे लिए उनका कोई महत्व नहीं होता । लेकिन हमारा तीसरा मित्र यानी कि कर्म यही वह है जो हमारे जीवन भर और हमारे मरने के बाद भी हमेशा हमारे साथ रहता है। इसलिए जिंदगी में हमेशा अच्छे कर्म करने चाहिए क्योंकि एक कर्म ही है जो मृत्यु के बाद भी हमारा साथ देता है।
Once upon a time there was a man. He had three friends. The four of them had a very close friendship. One day the man fell very ill. He got his treatment done by many Vaidyas of the village. But no one could trace his illness. In the end all the doctors said that we will not be able to save it. Saying this all the doctors went to their homes. When the man felt that his last time had come, he called his three friends to him and asked his first friend how much you love me. So he said I love you the most. So the man said will you support me even after death? The friend took his step back and said that I can support you only till this birth. The man asked the same question to his other friend that will you accompany me even after death? So another friend said that I will do your last rites in a good way when you die. But I cannot promise you that I will support you even after death. Then the man asked his third friend whether you would accompany me even after death. So the third friend said, I have definitely supported you for life and will give it to you even after death. The man becomes happy. Friends, this is our life, in our life also we have three friends money, family and karma. Our first friend i.e. money is with us as long as we are in this world. Money doesn't matter after our death. Our second friend is the family, who support us throughout our life and after our death, after performing our last rites, liberates us. And after that they are of no importance to us. But our third friend i.e. karma is the one who always stays with us throughout our life and even after we die. That is why one should always do good deeds in life because there is only one karma which supports us even after death.
