एक गरीब किसान था । वह नित्य प्रतिदिन शिव के मंदिर में जाया करता था । उसके बाद ही अपने खेत पर काम करने जाया करता था । उसके परिवार में उसकी पत्नी , एक बेटी और एक बेटा था । एक दिन किसान खेत पर जाने के लिए तैयार हो रहा था । तभी उसका बेटा और बेटी दोनों उससे बोले कि – पिताजी , आज हम भी आपके साथ खेत पर जाएंगे । किसान ने कहा – ठीक है , चलो । किसान अपने दोनों बच्चों को खेत पर ले गया । और उन्हें पास में एक पेड़ की छांव में बिठा दिया और अपने खेत में काम करने लगा। तभी वहां पर एक सांप आया और उसके बेटे को डस लिया । अपनी बेटी की जोर जोर से रोने की आवाज सुनकर किसान भागा आया और देखा कि उसका बेटा वहां पर मूर्छित पड़ा है , उसके मुंह से झाग निकल रहे हैं । तभी उसने एक सांप को वहां से जाते हुए देखा । वह अपने बेटे को लेकर गांव में आया और पूरे गांव में शोर मच गया कि किसान के बेटे को सांप ने डस लिया है । परंतु उस समय गांव में कोई भी वैद्य नहीं था । जो गांव का वैद्य था वह किसी काम से दूसरे गांव में गया हुआ था । वह मन ही मन शिव जी को दोष दे रहा था , कि हे प्रभु मैं आपकी इतनी भक्ति करता हूं ,तब भी आपने मेरे परिवार की रक्षा नहीं की । तभी वह देखता है कि एक अनजान सा आदमी उसके पास आता है और बोला कि – मैं एक वैद्य हूं । इस गांव से गुजर रहा था , तो लोगों को आपस में बातें करते सुना कि तुम्हारे बेटे को सांप ने काट लिया है । मैं इसे जड़ी-बूटी दे देता हूं । यह ठीक हो जाएगा , घबराने की कोई बात नहीं है । उस व्यक्ति ने उसके बेटे को जड़ी-बूटी घोलकर पिलाई और जहर को निकाल दिया । उसका बेटा थोड़ी देर बाद होश में आ गया । वह व्यक्ति वहां से चला जाता है । एक दिन किसान कुछ खरीदने के लिए बाजार में जा रहा था । तभी वहां पर दो बैलों को आपस में झगड़ते देखा । वह उन से बचते हुए निकल ही रहा था कि तभी एक बैल उसके पीछे तेजी से भागता हुआ आया । किसान को कुछ भी पता नहीं था । कि तभी एक व्यक्ति ने उस किसान का हाथ पकड़कर अपनी तरफ खींच लिया । परन्तु बैल के सींगों से किसान को थोड़ी सी चोट लग गई । किसान यह सब देखकर हक्का-बक्का सा रह गया था , उसे समझ ही नहीं आया कि यह एकदम से क्या हो गया । तब वह उस व्यक्ति से बोला कि यदि आप मेरा हाथ पकड़ कर ना खींचते , आज तो यह बैल मुझे मार ही देता । आपका बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद । यह कहता हुआ किसान आगे चला गया और मन में कह रहा था कि हे शिव शंकर भगवान , क्या सारे कष्ट आपने मुझे ही देने थे । पहले मेरे बच्चे को सांप ने डस लिया और आज मैं मारा जाता । मैं आपकी इतनी भक्ति करता हूं , फिर भी आप मुझे इतने कष्ट क्यों दे रहे हैं ? इस तरह वह मन ही मन भगवान को बहुत दोष दे रहा था । किसान मंदिर में जाकर शिव के सामने अपनी गरीबी को मिटाने के लिए प्रार्थना करता था । इस वर्ष उसकी फसल बहुत ही अच्छी हुई थी । पूरे गांव में किसान के जैसी फसल किसी की नहीं हुई थी । उसके खेतों में सबसे ज्यादा गेहूं की पैदावार हुई थी । किसान बहुत खुश था और भगवान का धन्यवाद कह रहा था । किसान खेत में अपनी पत्नी को लेकर गेहूं की फसल काटने गया । रात होने को आ रही थी किसान ने अपनी पत्नी से कहा कि – मैं आज रात खेत में ही रहकर अनाज (गेहूं के दाने) की रखवाली करता हूं । कल दिन में इस अनाज को घर लेकर चलेंगे , तुम अब बच्चों के पास घर चली जाओ । किसान की पत्नी घर चली जाती है । किसान वहीं पर खाट बिछा कर लेट जाता है । तभी वह देखता है कि बहुत जोर से आसमान में बिजली कड़क रही है । वह ये देखकर घबरा जाता है । वह भगवान को मन ही मन कह रहा था कि हे भगवान वर्षा ना हो , वरना मेरा सारा अनाज बह जाएगा और मेरी सारी मेहनत बेकार हो जाएगी । लेकिन तभी बहुत जोर – जोर से वर्षा होने लगी और अनाज सारे खेतों में इधर-उधर बह गया । उसकी फसल नष्ट हो गई । वह बहुत ही रोता है और रोते-रोते भगवान के मंदिर में जाता है । भगवान को जाकर बहुत ही भला बुरा कहने लगता है कि आपसे मेरी खुशी देखी नहीं गई , जो आपने बारिश कर दी । आपने ऐसा क्यों किया , मुझे लगा था कि इस बार मेरी फसल आपकी कृपा से बहुत अच्छी हुई है। लेकिन आप से ये देखा नही गया । मैं रोज आपके मंदिर में आता हूं तब भी आपने मेरा कुछ भी भला नहीं किया । बल्कि मुझे कष्ट देते जा रहे हो । वह शिवलिंग पर अपने माथे को पटक रहा था । उसकी पुकार सुनकर भगवान भोलेनाथ साक्षात प्रकट हो गए । और कहने लगे कि पुत्र क्या हुआ , क्यों रो रहे हो ? वो कहता है कि आप अब भी पूछ रहे हो कि मैं क्यों रो रहा हूं ? क्या आप नहीं जानते ? मेरे रोने का कारण क्या है । भगवान उससे बोले कि तुम्हारी फसल नष्ट हो गई है , तुम इसलिए रो रहे हो । हां भगवन , आपने ऐसा क्यों किया । मेरी अच्छी फसल हुई थी । आपने वर्षा क्यों की । आप चाहते तो वर्षा को रोक सकते थे । फिर आपने मेरी फसल को बर्बाद होने से क्यों नहीं बचाया ? भगवान कहते हैं कि – मैं जो करता हूं , अपने भक्तों के भले के लिए ही करता हूं । तुम जानते हो जब तुम्हारे बेटे को सांप ने काटा था और तुम्हारे गांव में कोई भी वैद्य नहीं था । तब वह अनजान व्यक्ति जो वैद्य के रूप में आया था , वह मैं ही था । मैंने ही तुम्हारे बच्चे की रक्षा की । और तुम्हें बैल के मारने से जिस व्यक्ति ने पकड़कर खींचा था , वह भी मैं ही था । वरना वो बैल तुम्हें वही मार कर चला जाता और आज तुम जिंदा ना होते । और रही बात वर्षा होने की , तो तुम्हारी अच्छी फसल को देखकर कुछ गांव वाले तुमसे जलने लगे थे । इसलिए गांव के कुछ लोगों ने जब तुम अपनी पत्नी से बातें कर रहे थे तब तुम्हारे अनाज में जहर मिला दिया था । जिससे कि तुम्हारा पूरा परिवार खत्म हो जाए , इसलिए मैंने वर्षा की और तुम्हारी फसल को नष्ट कर दिया । भगवान की यह बात सुनकर वह हक्का-बक्का सा रह गया था । वह भगवान से क्षमा याचना करने लगा कि प्रभु आपकी बातें सुनकर मेरी आंखे खुल गई है । अब मेरी समझ में आ गया है कि भगवान जो करता है वह अच्छे के लिए ही करता है । भगवान हमारे जीवन में आने वाले दुखों से लड़ने की हिम्मत देता है। भोले नाथ किसान को आशीर्वाद देकर वहां से अंतर्ध्यान हो जाते हैं । अब किसान के जीवन में जो भी कष्ट आता था उसके लिए वो भगवान को आरोप नहीं देता था । बल्कि मुसीबतों का हिम्मत से सामना करता था । वह नियम से प्रतिदिन शिव मंदिर में जाकर दुख को सहने की शक्ति मांगता था । अगली बार उसके खेत में फसल बहुत अच्छी हुई । और धीरे-धीरे वो बहुत ही धनवान होता चला गया ।
तो भक्तों , इस कथा से हमे यहीं सीख मिलती है कि भगवान जिसका हाथ एक बार थाम लेते हैं उसका हाथ कभी नहीं छोड़ते । एक बार भक्त चाहे भगवान को भूल सकता है, परंतु भगवान अपने भक्तों को कभी नहीं भूलते ।
There was a poor farmer. He used to go to Shiva's temple everyday. Only after that he used to go to work on his farm. He was survived by his wife, a daughter and a son. One day the farmer was getting ready to go to the farm. That's why both his son and daughter said to him - Father, today we will also go to the farm with you. The farmer said - Okay, let's go. The farmer took both his children to the farm. And made them sit under the shade of a tree nearby and started working in their field. Then a snake came there and bitten his son. Hearing the loud cry of his daughter, the farmer came running and saw that his son was lying there unconscious, foam coming out of his mouth. Then he saw a snake going from there. He came to the village with his son and there was a hue and cry in the whole village that the farmer's son had been bitten by a snake. But at that time there was no doctor in the village. The village doctor had gone to another village for some work. He was blaming Shiv ji in his heart, that O Lord, I worship you so much, even then you did not protect my family. Then he sees that an unknown man comes to him and said – I am a doctor. When I was passing through this village, I heard people talking among themselves that a snake has bitten your son. I give it herbs. It'll be fine, there's nothing to worry about. That person gave his son a drink mixed with herbs and the poison was removed. His son regained consciousness after a while. That person leaves from there. One day the farmer was going to the market to buy something. That's why I saw two bulls fighting with each other there. He was about to escape from them when a bull came running fast after him. The farmer did not know anything. That's why a person grabbed the farmer's hand and pulled him towards him. But the farmer was slightly hurt by the horns of the bull. The farmer was stunned to see all this, he did not understand what happened all of a sudden. Then he said to that person that if you had not pulled me by holding my hand, today this bull would have killed me. thank you so much . Saying this, the farmer went ahead and was saying in his mind that O Lord Shiva Shankar, did you have to give me all the troubles. Earlier my child was bitten by a snake and today I would have been killed. I worship you so much, yet why are you giving me so much trouble? In this way, he was blaming God a lot in his mind. The farmer used to go to the temple and pray before Shiva to remove his poverty. This year his crop was very good. No one in the whole village had a crop like that of the farmer. The highest yield of wheat was in his fields. The farmer was very happy and was saying thanks to God. The farmer went to the field to harvest the wheat crop with his wife. Night was coming, the farmer said to his wife that - I will stay in the field tonight and take care of the grains (wheat grains). Tomorrow we will take this grain home during the day, now you go home to the children. The farmer's wife goes home. The farmer lays down on the cot there. Only then he sees that lightning is thundering very loudly in the sky. He gets scared seeing this. He was telling God in his mind that O God, it should not rain, otherwise all my grain will be washed away and all my hard work will go in vain. But then it started raining very heavily and the grain got washed away all over the fields. His crop was destroyed. He cries a lot and goes to the temple of God crying. Going to God, he starts saying very good and bad that you have not seen my happiness, that you made it rain. Why did you do this, I thought that this time my crop has been very good by your grace. But this was not seen from you. I come to your temple everyday, even then you have not done me any good. Rather you are troubling me. He was banging his forehead on the Shivling. Hearing his call, Lord Bholenath appeared in person. And started saying what happened son, why are you crying? He says you are still asking why I am crying? don't you know What is the reason for my crying. God said to him that your crop has been destroyed, that's why you are crying. Yes God, why did you do this? I had a good crop. Why did you rain? If you wanted, you could have stopped the rain. Then why didn't you save my crop from getting ruined? God says that whatever I do, I do it only for the good of my devotees. You know when your son was bitten by a snake and there was no doctor in your village. Then that unknown person who came in the form of a doctor was me. I only protected your child. And the person who pulled you from being hit by the bull was also me. Otherwise that bull would have killed you and gone away and you would not have been alive today. And as far as rain is concerned, some villagers were envious of you after seeing your good crop. That's why some people of the village mixed poison in your grain when you were talking to your wife. So that your whole family is destroyed, so I rained and destroyed your crop. He was stunned after hearing these words of God. He started apologizing to God that Lord my eyes have opened after listening to your words. Now I have understood that whatever God does, He does for the good only. god humaRay gives courage to fight the miseries in life. After blessing the Bhole Nath farmer, he disappeared from there. Now the farmer did not blame God for whatever troubles he faced in his life. Rather he used to face difficulties with courage. He used to regularly go to the Shiva temple daily and ask for the strength to bear the pain. Next time the crop in his field was very good. And gradually he went on becoming very rich.
So devotees, we get a lesson from this story that God never leaves the hand of the one whom He holds once. Once a devotee may forget God, but God never forgets His devotees.
