 नवरात्रि के आखिरी दिन यानी नवमी को मां सिद्धिदात्री की पूजा की जाती हैं। यह मां दुर्गा का नौंवा रूप हैं।  इस दिन भी कई भक्त अपने घरों में कंजकाओ को बिठाते हैं और उन्हें भोजन कराते हैं।

 

 

स्वरूप:

कमल पर विराजमान चार भुजाओं वाली मां सिद्धिदात्री लाल साड़ी में विराजित हैं। इनके चारों हाथों में सुदर्शन चक्र, शंख, गदा और कमल रहता है। सिर पर ऊंचा सा मुकूट और चेहरे पर मंद मुस्कान ही मां सिद्धिदात्री की पहचान है। 

 

कथा :

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार भगवान भोलेनाथ ने मां सिद्धिदात्री की कृपा से ही 8 सिद्धियों को प्राप्त किया था। इन सिद्धियों में अणिमा, महिमा, गरिमा, लघिमा, प्राप्ति, प्राकाम्य, ईशित्व और वशित्व शामिल हैं। इन्हीं माता की वजह से भगवान शिव को अर्द्धनारीश्वर नाम मिला, क्योंकि सिद्धिदात्री के कारण ही शिव जी का आधा शरीर देवी का बना। हिमाचल का नंदा पर्वत इनका प्रसिद्ध तीर्थ स्थल है।

 मां दुर्गा का यह रूप अत्यंत शक्तिशाली है क्योंकि यह शक्ति सभी देवी देवताओं के तेज से प्रकट हुई हैं।  मां का यह स्वरूप सभी सिद्धियों को देने वाला है।

 

पूजा विधि :

मां को स्नान कराने के बाद सफेद पुष्प अर्पित करें। मां को रोली कुमकुम लगाएं। मां को मिष्ठान, पंच मेवा, फल अर्पित करें। माता सिद्धिदात्री को प्रसाद, नवरस युक्त भोजन, नौ प्रकार के पुष्प और नौ प्रकार के ही फल अर्पित करने चाहिए। घी का दीपक जलाने के साथ-साथ मां सिद्धिदात्री को कमल का फूल अर्पित करना शुभ माना जाता है। इसके अलावा जो भी फल या भोजन मां को अर्पित करें वो लाल वस्त्र में लपेट कर दें। निर्धनों को भोजन कराने के बाद ही खुद खाएं। अत: मां को खीर का भोग लगाना चाहिए।

 

 

 जिस पर मां की कृपा हो जाती है उसके लिए जीवन में कुछ भी पाना असंभव नहीं रहता। इनकी उपासना करने से अष्ट सिद्धि और नव निधि, बुद्धि और विवेक की प्राप्ति होती है।

Maa Siddhidatri is worshiped on the last day of Navratri i.e. Navami. This is the ninth form of Maa Durga. On this day also many devotees make Kanjakao sit in their homes and feed them.

Form:

The four-armed mother Siddhidatri, seated on a lotus, is enshrined in a red sari. Sudarshan Chakra, conch shell, mace and lotus remain in his four hands. A high crown on the head and a dim smile on her face is the identity of Mother Siddhidatri.

Story :

According to the legend, Lord Bholenath had attained 8 siddhis by the grace of Mother Siddhidatri. These siddhis include Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamya, Ishitva and Vashitva. Because of this mother, Lord Shiva got the name Ardhanarishvara, because due to Siddhidatri, half of Shiva's body became that of Goddess. Nanda mountain of Himachal is his famous pilgrimage site.

 This form of Maa Durga is very powerful because this power is manifested by the effulgence of all the deities. This form of mother is the giver of all siddhis.

Worship Method:

Offer white flowers to the mother after bathing. Apply Roli Kumkum to the mother. Offer sweets, punch nuts, fruits to the mother. Mother Siddhidatri should be offered Prasad, food containing Navras, nine types of flowers and only nine types of fruits. Along with lighting a ghee lamp, offering lotus flower to Maa Siddhidatri is considered auspicious. Apart from this, whatever fruit or food is offered to the mother, wrap it in a red cloth. Eat yourself only after feeding the poor. Therefore, kheer should be offered to the mother.

It is not impossible to get anything in life for the one who gets the blessings of the mother. Worshiping them leads to the attainment of Ashta Siddhi and new funds, wisdom and discretion.
